The Opulent Sicilian Villa in ‘The White Lotus’ is Designer Jacques Garcia’s Villa Elena
Dreaming of opulent Italian villas after watching the new season of ‘The White Lotus’? So are we.
The film location of the incredible Sicilian villa in Palermo which the series’ character Quentin inherited from his father is in reality Villa Elena, located near the baroque town of Noto in Sicily, Italy.
The opulent villa is a true labour of love by the prolific interior designer Jacques Garcia, seen here from its 2019 feature in Architectural Digest.
“This 17th-century monastery is built on a 12th-century Norman villa, which replaced a 10th-century Moorish palace, which replaced a fifth-century Roman house, which replaced a Greek villa of the third century before Jesus Christ,” according to Garcia in AD.
The rich detail throughout the villa is inspired by the baroque interiors of three great Roman palazzi that inspired the designer: Pallavicini-Rospigliosi, Doria Pamphilj, and Colonna.
The interior designer has created a number of incredible villas available to rent in Sicily, including Villa Elena. Price is disclosed upon application with the designer.
