James Bond’s French Riviera Villa Hits the Market
Known as La Roc Fleuri, you may recognize this cliffside villa from scenes from the 1983 Bond film, Never Say Never Again.
The home was also the longtime residence of actor Sean Connery, who was the first actor to play the iconic Bond role between 1962 and 1983, and who was recently voted the all-time best 007).
The six-story Belle Epoque villa was built in 1928, and is the perfect backdrop for glamorous parties on the Cote d’Azur, with incredible views of the Mediterranean perched high above the harbour of Nice and looking out over the Bay of Angles.
The retro Art Deco inspired residence definitely evokes the type of luxurious atmosphere where James Bond would stay: a larger-than-life luxe man cave, complete with a wine cellar, home gym and spa, and a cage elevator decorated with wrought iron flowers and filigree, which takes you up to the master suite which spans the entire top floor, and features a walk-in close and two bathroom suites, as well as its own walk-out rooftop terrace.
Offering almost 11,000 sq ft of living space across the 5 bedroom villa, including 2 guest houses, a 2-car garage and staff house, and both an indoor and outdoor pool.
Our favourite spot is anywhere on the wraparounds terraces, where we can easily imagine ourselves indulging in a martini (‘shaken, not stirred’) while taking in that €30M view.
Surrounded by lush, terraced gardens with fig, olive, and lemon trees, the property offers total privacy on the Cap de Nice, with gorgeous sunsets every night. One of the last great seaside villas built in the Golden Age Twenties, the property is truly one of a kind.
