French Riviera Villa Facing the Sea in Cap d’Antibes
Nestled in the heart of the chic and glamorous Cap d'Antibes, this French villa is located near the Garoupe Beach, one of the prettiest beaches on the Côte d'Azur.
This beach also played a significant role in establishing the French Riviera as the glamorous summer resort destination we know today, as during the late Belle Epoque and early Jazz Age, the Riviera was considered only as a wintertime resort.
In the 1920s, renowned American socialite couple, the Murphys, purchased a villa on Cap d’Antibes and dedicated countless hours to clearing Plage de la Garoupe of seaweed and old fishing nets in an aim to attract their affluent and famous friends to spend their summers there.
Their efforts succeeded, and it became a favorite summer spot for famous figures during the 1920s, attracting legendary figures such as Hemingway, Fitzgerald, and Picasso.
Today, the Cap d’Antibes is still considered one of the most glamorous destinations on the Cote d’Azur, renowned for hosting the iconic Cannes Film Festival, which is held every year at the Hôtel du Cap-Eden Roc.
The world-famous resort is ideally located between Nice and Cannes.
The private villa is set within landscaped grounds of approximately 13,993 ft2 (1,300 m2) , complete with a swimming pool and a pool house with a shower room and WC.
Inside the villa offers 2690 ft2 (250 m2) of interior space, with a spacious reception room, dining area, which opens out onto a dining terrace for you to bask in the Mediterranean sun with views of the sea.
There’s also a well-equipped kitchen on the ground floor, as well as an ensuite bedroom, ideal for guests.
On the first floor, you’ll find the principal bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and an office, and 4 further ensuite bedrooms.
On the garden level is the garage, a cellar, and an independent one-bedroom apartment, complete with a kitchenette, making it ideal for extended family stays or staff accommodation.
Despite its secluded charm, Cap d'Antibes is just a short drive from the bustling towns of Antibes and Juan les Pins. Here, you can immerse yourself in a lively atmosphere filled with restaurants, shops, and cultural attractions.
