For the past 30 years, Valentino Garavani, 87 (known mainly by his first name), and his partner in life and business, Giancarlo Giammetti, have used the 28th century villa as their summer home.

The couple would retreat to the villa to escape the “frenetic lifestyle” of Rome - although they would occasionally hold fashion events and parties on site.
