Even in the prestigious Bordeaux wine region of southwestern France, it’s rare to find an exceptional stay with a one-of-a-kind offering catered to high-end clientele.
That is, until Maison Dubreuil opened its doors in 2023, a luxury villa rental in the wine capital of Saint-Emilion that provides a boutique hotel experience, with the added luxury of privacy.
The family-owned wine estate and its beautifully converted farmhouse has been transformed into a postcard-perfect French hamlet set amongst the vines, complete with a swimming pool and al fresco dining areas with stunning views.
Just minutes from historic Saint-Émilion, the unofficial wine capital of the Bordeaux region, this boutique luxury villa boasts a discreet and prestigious location, surrounded by its own vineyards overlooking the charming village of Saint-Christophe-des-Bardes.
Included in your stay at Maison Dubreuil, guests can expect a highly personalized experience with a dedicated concierge available to plan bespoke itineraries ahead of your stay for local explorations and exclusive access to experiences not available to the public.
This highly bespoke experience at Maison Dubreuil is the passion project of the owners, inspired by their extensive experiences of boutique hotels and high-end hospitality traveling around the world, and enhanced by their intimate knowledge of the region.

DESIGNED FOR AN EXCEPTIONAL STAY
Lovers of French design will appreciate the elegant, French country aesthetic at Maison Dubreuil with interiors by Houston-based designer Stacy Lewis Graubart, featuring both locally and internationally-sourced French antiques.
The Maison offers 7500 square feet of space with 6 elegant bedroom suites, with two grand king rooms, four king rooms, and one queen room, all with ensuite baths.
The suites are inspired after the owner’s love of the French countryside, with names such as ‘Fleur de Lys’ and ‘Bouton d’Or’, each distinctly designed and offering lovely views over the vineyards or courtyard gardens.
This luxury rental also features thoughtful amenities that reflect the owner's American heritage and enhance your experience, such as the ‘hidden’ smart TVs disguised as framed art in each bedroom, and spacious ensuite bathrooms, clad in Carerra marble and with complimentary high-end toiletries products for guests.
On the ground level of the Maison, guests can gather in both formal rooms and more intimate spaces, including a handsome library bar directly adjacent to a billiards room, and a sun-drenched l’Orangerie overlooking the vineyards and church steeple, perfect for Afternoon Tea.
At the heart of the home is the spacious sitting room, punctuated by two stone fireplaces on either end, with a formal dining area that seats 14.
This open-concept area is beautifully illuminated by large French windows that open out onto the terraces, with an outdoor dining area that seats 20.
Of all of the elegant living spaces in the Maison, we’re especially charmed by the dream French country kitchen, featuring a French-blue Lacanche range, beautifully distressed cabinetry and an antique butcher block table, all surrounding a Provencal-style harvest table that seats 6.
Outside, a BBQ area with a pizza oven is tucked away at the side of the Maison, next to the gorgeous swimming pool with a covered terrace, nestled among the vineyards.
Maison Dubreuil also has a wine cellar (that can be stocked by the sommelier), a modern gym, and a housecar for use throughout your stay.
ABOUT CLOS DUBREUIL
“We have a simple mission: to make the best wine possible,” says Ralph Eads, owner of the 8.5 ha family-run winery that has risen from relative obscurity since its origins, founded in 1997 and acquired by the Eads in 2006, to obtain the prestigious Grand Cru Classé Bordeaux status.
The 8.5 hectare estate is dedicated to Merlot and Cabernet Franc, although they also grow Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay.
Clos Dubreuil — Clos, a French 'enclosure', referring to a walled vineyard—has been cultivated like a garden, with vines grown across 9 small plots of land throughout Saint-Émilion, the majority near the estate on the limestone plateau in Saint-Christophe-des-Bardes.
The boutique vineyard pays homage to tradition, utilizing ancient techniques like hand-pruning and a horse plough to produce superior fruit at the end of the growing season. To expose the fruit to as few mechanical constraints as possible, grapes are harvested by hand, and only the best grapes make it into the gravity-fed tanks.
Beyond its traditional techniques, and behind its traditional, stone-clad facade, the interiors of this spacious, light-filled winery are bold and contemporary—without sacrificing style.
An open space with a commercial-grade kitchen on the second level is outfitted for hosting private events and wine pairings, while the cellars and the tasting room offers a more moody vibe that reflects the owners Texan edge.
Tastings are by appointment only, led by Ralph's son, David, a passionate Sommelier who both generously pours, and generously shares his expertise in fine wine from the best wineries in the region, including his own.
With the welcome addition of Maison Dubreuil, the family-owned winery has grown into an exclusive boutique wine tourism destination in Saint-Émilion.
