Audrey Hepburn’s Swiss Villa is On the Market
The 18th-century Swiss farmhouse where Audrey Hepburn lived for three decades has been listed for sale.
Located in the quiet village of Tolochenaz, about 30 minutes from Geneva, La Paisible—French for “the peaceful place”—was Hepburn’s home from 1963 until her death in 1993. The actress is buried in a nearby cemetery, just minutes from the estate.

Set on over 40 acres of land, the property combines historic character with modern comfort. The three-story home spans approximately 10,800 square feet and includes 21 rooms, featuring 12 bedrooms, eight bathrooms, and five original fireplaces. The grounds include century-old trees, rolling hills, and a heated swimming pool.
The current owners, Katharina and Jean-Marc Beaujolin, purchased the estate from Hepburn’s son in 2001. At the time, much of the home remained as Hepburn had left it, with floral-patterned decor that reflected her taste. While the Beaujolins have since renovated and modernized parts of the house, traces of the actress’s presence remain. Among them is a rose garden visible from the kitchen window, where many of the 60 white rosebushes Givenchy gifted Hepburn for her 60th birthday still bloom.
Despite its ties to Hollywood history, La Paisible remains a discreet and private retreat. “It truly is a peaceful place,” Katharina Beaujolin told Bloomberg, reflecting on her time there. Now, after raising six children in the home, she and her husband are ready to downsize.
The property, which offers both privacy and proximity to Lake Geneva, Lausanne, and top schools, is now on the market. Interested buyers will need to meet Swiss residency permit requirements.
